Let me tell you a little bit about myself!
Nearly 20 years ago anxiety and depression had a major impact on my life and it was during this time that I went along to my first ever yoga class.
Once a week I would go along to my local class, even on the days when I didn’t quite feel up to it. In all honesty that weekly, hour long class was truly one of the only times that I felt connected with me again and all I had to do was to allow myself to be guided, to be supported as I moved my body and breathed.
And so my love of yoga began.
Fast forward to age 45 (proving that you’re never too old and it’s never too late), when I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Seasonal Yoga in Stirling and have been teaching ever since.
Around this time some of the same anxieties I had encountered years before were starting to surface again, this time due to perimenopause. This led me to completing my 40-hour Menopause Yoga with Petra Coveney, initially to help support me in my own journey however, it led me to creating and holding space for so many wonderful women through classes, workshops and meetups.
Recently I completed my 30-hour Restorative yoga teacher training with Eva Maxine, where I truly learned the real importance of rest and how wonderful it feels when the body and mind are deeply relaxed.
Having recently transitioned through Menopause into my Second Spring, I am deeply passionate about honouring the cycles of the seasons and using the transformational energies of nature to create little moments of tranquility every single day on and off the yoga mat.
Whether you are going through menopause, suffer from anxiety, feel overwhelmed or you simply seek a space where you feel supported and empowered on your yoga journey, then I’d love to help.
